Retaining walls: Preserve your views of the water while minimizing the force of water runoff. Terracing steep slopes provides planting areas. Walls can either be made of natural rocks which match the existing geology, or of manufactured concrete block. Keep in mind that many walls require some sort of stairway to get to the water.

Access improvement: Many shorelines of created lakes have steep drop-offs. Properly situated and installed steps can improve access to the water and reduce erosion on the slope.
Patios: Patios provide a level area for entertaining and seating, and permit a place to enjoy a view of the water as well as providing space for a grill or fire pit. We install a variety of concrete pavers, and can incorporate a seating wall into your patio design.
Planting beds: Provide visual interest for all four seasons (if you use your home all year), and attract butterflies and birds to your yard for your visual pleasure. We can design a planting plan which expresses a vision using plants.
Water Features: Running water has a sound unlike waves lapping the shore. We can install a waterfall, with or without a pond, and install the proper plants around the water to provide both a relaxing sound and a place for butterflies and birds to gather.
Water diversion: Lakefront lots are often narrow, with steep grades. Water diversion channels (dry river beds) are an attractive way to run water around the foundation of the house without resulting in erosion. We strive for a naturalized look to the diversion channel, which can be planted or left as is.
